Goal

Primayer, a leading provider of water leak detection solutions, partnered with Zaven to elevate their Eureka tablet app. The primary goal was to enhance the user experience, making the app more intuitive and easier to use, ultimately reducing the volume of customer support requests, boosting market appeal, and ensuring the app's long-term viability through modernization.

Challenge

The Eureka project presented Zaven with a unique set of challenges. A deep understanding of specialized domains like water networks, hydrology, and pipe materials was essential to ensure accurate data analysis within the app.

Another challenge was designing the app for optimal touch-based interaction in field conditions. Users often operate the app while wearing gloves or in adverse weather, requiring a user interface that accommodates these real-world scenarios.

Finally, simplifying the device connection process was crucial to ensure a seamless user experience from the outset.

Solution

We proposed a comprehensive overhaul of the Eureka app. This involved a complete redesign and rebuild, focusing on a modern, intuitive interface developed using Kotlin.

A robust CI/CD process was implemented to ensure consistent quality and enable rapid iteration. The revamped UI prioritized clear data visualization, simplified editing of pipe features, and an effortless onboarding experience, including QR code scanning for device connection.

Outcome

The modernized Eureka app successfully achieved Primayer's goals. The fresh, user-friendly design resulted in a significant reduction in customer support requests. The updated technology stack not only made maintenance more efficient but also paved the way for future enhancements.
